In 2001, I was inducted into the VISA Hall Of Fans at the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio. I am currently a member of the Pro Football Ultimate Fan Association (PFUFA).
It all started in the mid 1960's at Tiger Stadium, when I was fortunate enough to attend a Detroit Lions game with my father. Ever since that one experience, it has been in my blood to root for one NFL team. And that is the Honolulu Blue and Silver, The Detroit Lions. That one experience has been with me for life and I will carry the banner of the Detroit Lions with me forever.
I am a 3rd generation Lions supporter and Season Ticket Holder. I have for decades supported the Lions during the good times and the not-so-good times. Even during the infamous 0-16 season, I never left a game early, never gave up, and believed with all of my heart they would be able to rise up and become a championship team once again. I have been a very loyal and faithful fan over the years. No one can ever label me a "band wagon jumper" because there is only one team I have committed my passion to. I am well aware of what the organization and the players must accomplish to succeed. I promote good spirit and respect to opposing teams, fans, and friends. I have done this continually over the years and will continue to strive to be an important part of the NFL and the Lions.
I have been a Season Ticket Holder for over 40 years. I have attended, and will continue to attend, numerous away games. These have included trips to Chicago, Green Bay, Arizona, Oakland, and Seattle, among many others. I have met friends and fans in each of these cities and have invited these folks back to Detroit to watch a game at Ford Field. I have kept in contact with many of these fans over the years, and we add new cities and new friends on a yearly basis. I not only invite these people to the game, but I encourage them to stay in Detroit to show them the city and celebrate a Lions victory!
I have promoted numerous charities such as Special Olympics, Curing Cancer for Kids, Leader Dogs for the Blind, and the Winter Jacket Program. I have devoted much time with these efforts and plan on continuing to do so in the future.
As you can see, I am an avid skier. You can find me on the slopes of Big White Ski Resort in British Columbia, Canada. Always with Lions colors in tow, I enjoy the fun times in life.
My goal in life is to leave with respect and knowing I put a smile on someone's face along the way. God Bless you and yours always. WHO LOVES YA BABY!!!! God is great, beer is good, and people are crazy!!
I belong in the Fan Hall of Fame. GOOOOOOO LIOOOOOOONS!!!!!
